Wish I was home reading a book by the fire. Arghhhh. Shit.

Kate: I am a 62 married woman with two kids of my own and two step kids. Kid are all grown and we are “empty-nesters.” I am a professional and have been on staff for over 20 years at a large university. Oh yes and I’ve been drinking for 45 years. I have tried to quit so many times over the years but have never been able to make it past 60 days other than throughout two pregnancies. My 60-days of sobriety occurred just last year and it was then I discovered there was this enormous sober blogosphere out there. I wish I would have hopped on the bandwagon then but I am here now. And I intend to stay. I'll be retiring next year. I want to enjoy my grandchildren and to travel and explore the world with my husband. Wine is not part of that equation.
